probably not anytime soon - especially with news that 9850 is just an overclocked 9800. Its the same chip.

Bought. Upgrade from 7900x- free game sold it. $15 cheaper at Microcenter but this saves me a trip into Cambridge- nightmare drive.

9850 X3D is 3-4% faster in games. Not much, but if you can find it for a similar price I'd buy it. Or else, this is a decent deal for the second best gaming CPU.
