Anyone have one of these to comment on the panel? I have had very good VA panels and I'd be glad to have some home office viewable real estate at this price point if they don't suck.

Thanks!

i actually just purchased a returned one from amazon warehouse earlier this week and am pretty impressed with it. going to return the one i currently have for a new one and save $.
it replaced a 32" Monoprice IPS panel from ~6 years ago.
my aging eyes can't do 3840x2160 on a 32" screen anymore, but i can with this 37". Noticeably brighter than my old monitor and the text is very sharp (i'm mostly coding or looking at text all day).

Are you scaling the text on this 37" Samsung 4k monitor? These aging old eyes want to knowSmilie Also how far away from the screen are you sitting? I'm typing this on a 32" QHD which is the resolution I've used for a number of years. I would think text on a 37" 4k monitor would look sharper compared to a 32" QHD?

You'll need to scale the 37" to at least 125%.

Your current 32 - 91 pixels per inch
The 37" Samsung - 119 pixel per inch
119/91 = 1.30....so you'll need to scale it ~125% to make it appear like your old 32".

Thanks for the reply. So even at 125% I would think text would look sharper on the 37" 4k compared to what I'm seeing on my 32" QHD correct? But then again, if I have to scale I will lose some screen real estate because of the scaling correct? Just trying to figure out if the upgrade is worth it for me....

Had the S80D in this size. Way too big for me. Scrolling made me queasy sitting at a very deep desk about 3 feet from the monitor. It still filled my whole vision and then some.

What size and resolution did you go back to? I currently use a 32" QHD and have for years but text isn't the sharpest. I've heard a 27" QHD has good text sharpness so I might look into one of those.

I had the exact same issue on a 42" setup. I thought a giant monitor would be awesome for productivity, but I ended up feeling off. I went back to my 27" 4K. I think 32 or 37 may be a sweet spot for me if it is curved, but I have not seen a recent deal on a curved 4K in a larger size.
