I would take a chance if this were indeed half off. Price history shows that this was $40, dropped to $20. The only mini heat guns that are $40 are specialty: cordless, or selectable temperature. $20 is comparable to other mini heat guns with hundreds of 5-star ratings and similar features. I would go with one of those just to be safe.
Community Reviews
This mini heat gun is best suited for light bench work like sticker removal, heat shrink, small part separation, and other quick heating jobs. The 380W unit is described as putting out controlled heat and lasting for years without failure, with enough heat for tasks like bending sunglasses arms and even some soldering. The main caveat is that it is not a full rework station, and the deal itself looks shaky because the coupon has repeatedly landed closer to $15.99 or $16 than $13.99. Several comments also point to cheaper full size heat guns or similar mini models at lower prices.
Common Questions (4)
The listed price is disputed: the same item has been seen at $20 and $40, and the coupon code 24DIDWJH reportedly only drops it to about $15.99 or $16 for some shoppers. Several commenters point to cheaper Harbor Freight, Walmart, or AliExpress heat guns with similar features, so the value depends on whether you specifically want the mini form factor.
Not reliably. Reported checkout prices with 24DIDWJH were about $15.99 or $16 instead of $13.99, and some shoppers could not get the code to apply to the advertised price.
Yes. It has been used successfully for stubborn sticker removal, heat shrink, separating small parts, bending sunglasses arms, and even soldering tasks. It is best suited to small bench jobs rather than acting as a full rework station.
It can get hot enough for some soldering-related work, including a PS4 HDMI repair, and it puts out controlled heat. It has not been described as a full rework station, and desoldering has not been tested by at least one user.

Because of that reviewers will typically only choose an item to review if it is for sure going to be at least decent. There's no returning vine items and you gotta pay the tax no matter what.
That's why vine items do legitimately tend to be high rating. It's because we've already done our best to make sure the item is going to be at least decent.
Occasionally that still fails. When that happens I knock the stars down sharply. There is zero penalty for giving a bad review as long as it is truthful.
