If only that Gigabyte MB wasn't included in this bundle and switched out w/ a diff manufacturer's instead.

I'd understand if you have identified some sort of systemic issue with a particular manufacturer, but I don't think you should ditch a brand just because you have had a bad experience or two. Hardware and compatibility can be volatile at times, and we aren't always aware of the mistakes that we might make as users. Boycotting a brand is limiting your own choices, and that's not a smart thing to do. I've worked with trash boards from top tier manufacturers and great boards from mid low tier ones. It's much more objective to make your judgment based on the actual hardware in question.
