Just be mindful that they will be very strict on the baggage leaving Tokyo. At LAX, the agents only weighed regular carry-ons when I flew with them, but purses or backpacks were not. That is not the case in Japan, which can throw some people off who are not used to a long-haul LCC.

I flew ZipAir to Tokyo a couple years ago. Great experience, great airline.

Do they weight carry-ons at the gate as well, or only at the check-in counter where checked baggages are taken?

This is for roundtrip right? I believe they raised prices from $55 to $85 each way last year or so...
