I don't see why not. Usually it's OLEDS that are terrible for office work but this isn't an oled

There's instances of black bars appearing on the bottom of this particular model after some use. This one does have allstate though. Something worth considering, but YMMV

Are built-in speakers gone forever from computer monitors?
I understand they were not great quality, but I'd like the option to have them.

No. They are still available. Costs a little more to manufacture though.

Awesome monitor. MSI 27" 1440p is awesome. I paid $150+taxes for this same item and I love it.

This is the exact monitor sold at Costco for $200, although it is frequently goes on sales for $150. I bought one of these refurbs a year ago for $140 and it was has been great. I still really like IPS panels and this gives very solid gaming performance. I don't think you can do better at this price.

I purchased this model from this seller ~6 months ago and impressed with the monitor for the price. Mine actually came as the E2 version and does 180hz. Great for gaming, decent for office work. It does take 5-8 seconds to wake up, which is minor, but a slight annoyance.

edite/update: I stand corrected, on costco, this exact model also has reviews (220+), some with black bars / lines developing. seems the whole line is plagued with it. Seems like a 1-2 year lifespan for this montior is not uncommon.

original comment start: I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's a different model with tons of those reviews. Are you looking at the reviews on amazon for the G274QPF-QD (Quantom Dot)? I don't think this deal and that one are the same model. The QD model seems to be the more prominent with 280+ reviews on amazon, while the non-QD model only has about 40 total between 2 listings. None of the non-QD mention black bars, but there are a couple dead LED/dead pixel mentions.
Im looking for some cheap/decent/reliable office monitors. Really thinking about rolling the dice on cheap + refurb. 🤔

I rolled the dice already and am in for one. Has allstate warranty for 2 years anyway so should be covered if problems happen.
