New parents: this talc, that's not really talc (talc is bad), is the BEST thing to keep a baby from getting rashes. My second baby had horrible diaper rashes that developed into fungal rashes, with small pimples that would bleed. I tried every paste but the problem was any amount of moisture would cause it to come back and I had to use an antifungal at every diaper change and wait for the skin to dry very well each time. This powder completely solved it in a few days and the fungal infection never came back even when the baby gets rashes here and there.

In my opinion, talc is more effective than cornstarch.
