It's an odd product but I am very tempted. I have an induction stove top and I ended up dropping something that hit the edge and created a chip. That chip grew into a crack across the entire left side and I had to pay ~$300 to get the part to fix it myself. In theory this could help prevent that in the future if I can make myself put it into place religiously.

They make sliccone ones too. These roll up when you're not using them but also take up space when you're using your stove. Seems a lot less bulky than a big wooden cutting board.
