I paid $120 last June. It has paid for itself 10x over the convenience and delicious foods. I almost never cook stovetop or oven anymore in favor of this little air fryer.

OP: Why didn't you include "Air Fryer" in your description of this?
That's the most important and most popular feature!

This is $179.95.
Is it the wrong link, or was it a very brief price reduction (one of the things, among others, that I dislike about Amazon)?

I see the same, I also googled it and didn't see any discount code. Must've been a time based deal

Because most of these combo units are not real air fryers, they are toaster ovens with a fan. Air fryer has the fan behind the heating element forcing super heated air, as opposed to this style which has a side mounted fan that just blows around the air eventually and ambiently heated by the upper and lower heating elements.

I can't vouch for THIS particular model, but all of the other ones I have looked at/briefly owned before returning were the latter style, not the former.

I've had this for 4 years now. The fan is at the top, and it seems to be pushing hot air from the element above. For the foods I cook, it does a great job. Mines runs at least 50F hotter, so at most, my dial is at 3750F, otherwise things will burn. Also, the bulb dying out early was a common complaint at the time, and sure enough, my bulb died within a month or 2 of normal usage. It's not easy to replace mines because you have to disassemble the whole thing, but maybe they've changed the design by now.

I have this unit and a standalone air fryer, I almost never use the standalone air fryer and I use this thing heavily.
It has a large fan blowing down from the top and works very well as an air fryer.

No, this unit has a large fan mounted on the top and uses infra red heating tube instead of a coil.
