This is a compact, lightweight utility knife built for everyday carry and quick box cutting. The folding design locks securely, opens and closes one handed, and lets you swap blades without a screwdriver or tool. It feels solid for the size, and the low replacement cost makes it easy to keep in a car, backpack, or work kit. The main caveat is that it is not meant for heavy duty use, and similar versions can be found cheaper elsewhere.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. It is compact, lightweight, locks closed in a pocket, and can be opened and closed one-handed, making it practical for daily carry in a pocket, car, or backpack. The replaceable blade also keeps it useful for routine box-cutting without needing a full knife replacement.
Yes. The blade can be swapped without a screwdriver or other tool, and dull blades can be flipped or replaced when needed. That makes it convenient for frequent box-opening and other light cutting tasks.
It is described as surprisingly solid and compact, with the blade not seeming likely to come loose and the screw staying put during use. It is still better suited to light everyday tasks than heavy-duty cutting.
At around $9.88 to $9.99 for two knives plus 10 extra blades, it is a strong value for a simple EDC utility knife. A coupon can drop the total further, and similar black Duratech versions were mentioned at about $9.92 without the extra blades.
