-Milwaukee M18 Hammer drill + impact + 2x5.0 batteries can be "hacked" down to $266, trading 3rd battery for an impact drill (this is the best deal if you don't mind hacking and can use the drill)
-Milwaukee M18 Hammer Drill + impact + 2x5.0 + 1x6.0 batteries (non-hackable) was $359 a few weeks ago.
Both of those deals added a 6.0'. No 8.0.
If you don't need an impact driver and aren't heavily invested in the M18 system, this comes in as a solid deal, esp w/ the 8.0. You're trading a 6.0's for an 8.0 Forge. This would be a solid entry into M18 if you need (want) a hammer drill. Way overkill for the weekend DIYer, though

-Milwaukee M18 Hammer Drill + impact + 3x6.0 batteries (non-hackable) was $359 a few weeks ago.

Same total capacity/$ but 2 that are lighter and one that's much beefier. This would be a solid entry into M18 if you need (want) a hammer drill. Way overkill for the weekend DIYer, though
Also, does anyone actually use the hard shell cases? For such a general use item like a drill?
the blow molding wastes too much space so the drill goes either to my toolbag or packout box
