Peet's Major Dickason whole beans are a dark roast that stands out for strong, full-bodied espresso and regular home brewing. The blend gets praise for being a favorite, evenly balanced, and hard to beat at the mass-produced level, with some preferring to mix it with a lighter roast to soften the intensity. The main drawback is the roast level, which is repeatedly described as very dark, burnt, or overly roasted, and the bags no longer show roast dates, only a best-by date about a year out. The in-store Costco price is about $15 for 2 pounds, with the sale tied to select warehouses.
The Costco app listing indicates the $15 price applies to select in-store warehouses only.
The beans can work well for espresso when the dark roast is brewed straight up.
The coffee can taste evenly balanced and may suit shoppers who want a dark roast profile.
Peet's bags at Costco reportedly stop showing roast dates and instead show only a best-by date about a year out.
Some batches reportedly taste overly roasted, with descriptions like coal juice or burnt coffee.
The dark roast flavor reportedly comes across as burnt or bitter, which may be too intense for medium-roast drinkers.
The Costco app can show a higher online price even when a $6.50 discount appears.

Been this price there awhile. Also, this in-store reg price is not $25, it's $21.50, this is not "40%" off as shown in OP
