I have this exact model and highly recommend it. But just a reminder, like any wood/bamboo product, it does need to be conditioned overtime. Something like this every 6ish months will keep it from cracking or degrading overtime: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C4LJ45K

I stand on the toilet seat and squat. Does this provide better form? I guess worse case I can use it as a step to climb up on the toilet.

Have it and I can't really say it helps. Also get some sticky furniture felt/rubber pads so you can add to prevent the thing from moving when you use it. Always slided for me even though it has very tiny rubber boots.

I got the squatty potty a while back, and found it super uncomfortable to use. Usually the bottom of your thighs are distributing your weight along the toilet seat, but this puts all your weight on your tailbone. Not sure how others use this without issue...

I wouldn't get Bamboo if you take steam baths or regular showers, why didn't they just make it with a seal or some kind of lacquer over it? This looks like the cutting board material, too soft and porous.
