This is a targeted PlayStation Plus Premium renewal and upgrade offer that can drop the yearly price to about $99 or $100, with some accounts seeing pro rated upgrade paths instead. It works best after a subscription expires, and the offer also appears in the PS app or on the service page for eligible accounts. Gift cards from Costco, Newegg, Target, or Eneba can lower the effective cost further. The main catch is that eligibility is inconsistent, and some accounts still show full price or only a smaller discount. A solid value if the offer appears on your account and timing lines up.
Common Questions (5)
It appears to be a targeted resub offer that usually shows after a membership has expired or been lapsed for months. Many accounts with active time left only see MSRP or a prorated upgrade price instead of the full $99 annual offer.
Usually no: the discounted annual price tends to appear after the current subscription expires, while active accounts often see full price or only an upgrade offer. Some users saw the deal the day after expiration, and others had to wait until renewal was fully off.
Log in to the correct PSN account, check the PS Plus page or home-screen PS Plus icon, and make sure auto-renew is turned off. The offer can also appear in the PS app, but some accounts only show it after signing in or after the subscription has fully ended.
Yes. PSN gift cards and PlayStation e-gift cards can be redeemed to your account before checkout, then applied to the subscription purchase; Costco and Eneba were both used to lower the effective cost.
At $99, many see it as reasonable, especially versus the $160 MSRP, but the value depends on whether you use Premium features like classics, streaming, and trials. If you only want online play or don't use the extra catalog, Essential or a cheaper alternative may make more sense.

I'm totally against PS because they have no IP. All of them are aged and being phased out with nothing in the pipeline. 1 IP every 5-8yrs is not good for consumers. People paying for PS+ with really nothing there besides online play is just bad.
The tides have changed. Playstation "fanboys" can no longer hate on Microsoft. They are the ones in the void, with nothing there but games for every platform. Luckily for them, and to defend their purchase of a PS5 in 2025+, Microsoft will allow them to get in on the big AAA titles to come.. for now.
I've said this before, with total hate coming to me from people on here.
"I figured I was done with subscription services, but another year of Premium @ $99 could justify its cost."
This is my thought too. I signed up for premium last lunar new year sale at $99 for premium and since then I think I only played 3 or 4 games and they were older PS3 or PS4 games or short $20 PS5 titles, not even a single $70 title so I actually lost money on the sub for sure. The fact Spiderman 2 hit the extra catalog TODAY means that maybe it will be worth it for me if that hits and I'm optimistic about some other titles I've been waiting on. If not there's no way I can beat the game in 4 days so I wont even bother with it.

Is it worth it?
Could I cancel my current subscription and get the premium for $99?
Only option it gives me is 30% off for my remaining 41 days. Lame.
