I have this tablet. No issues with brightness, even outside. Solid performance at a great price with the Lenovo case. Pen works great too, love using it for crossword puzzles.

Got the 12gb version of this tablet for my son. The pen input lag is nearly nonexistent. Really responsive. Tablet is solid. Battery life is sufficient. Using it for Brawl Stars, Xbox Game Pass streaming, etc., it hasn't needed any more power.

Front page? This has been the price for most of the last 3 months. It goes up to low 300's sometimes but this $279 price seems to be the new norm.

Lenovo's Idea Tab Pro stands out as a fast 12.7 inch Android tablet bundle with the pen and case, and the 8GB or 12GB versions handle browsing, streaming, sheet music, and games smoothly. The stylus tracking and pen input lag are praised, and the Dimensity 8300 class chip is described as close to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance. The main drawback is the 400 nit display, which is reported as fine indoors but weak in bright sunlight. Pricing around $280 appears common, with some lower Lenovo and sale prices noted.

Common Questions (5)

  • The 400-nit display is fine indoors but can be hard to use in bright sunlight. If outdoor reading matters, a brighter tablet may be a better fit.

  • Pen latency is reported as nearly nonexistent, and the tablet feels responsive for games, streaming, browsing, and sheet music. The Dimensity 8300-class performance is described as solid and close to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 levels.

  • At Lenovo, the bundle is typically $250 with the pen only or $280 with the case added. The case is what pushes the price up, while the pen is included in the base bundle.

  • Battery life is reported as good for media, streaming, and general use, with enough power for games like Brawl Stars and Xbox Game Pass streaming. Sleep battery life can be weaker than Samsung tablets.

  • It is expected to receive 2 OS updates and 4 years of security updates. That is typical for a non-Samsung, non-Google tablet in this class.

Same price on Lenovo site. $250 with pen only or $280 when you add the case. I don't think any discounts/coupons would work on a doorbuster deal though, but may have a good cash back/offer deal from a credit card/bank. Some people get lucky with C1 shopping/offers.

Dimensity 8300 runs close to par vis-a-vis a Snap 8 Gen2, so performance should be solid.

Can I ask where you got the 12 GB version?
