While it is very much YMMV, some Target locations may also have this on clearance for $29.99 — just saw a few copies locally for this price yesterday morning.

All of the time and energy spent to save $10. Not for everyone!

First game I ever spent 200 hours on. I'm afraid to buy it again.

I enjoyed XBC1. I played a lot of XBC2 but don't enjoy the combat system and the gacha style summoning stuff. I have XBC3 but have not started it. How does XBCX compare and what it would be most comparable to?

$10 is a lot at this price point — do you even know what website this is?Plus, I just mentioned it - didn't threaten anyone or bemoan the price. Sorry that going to a store is a lot of work for you.

Think about it more like an MMO with XB combat versus a mainline entry. Main character is not voiced and story is based on level and exploration progression. Emphasis is on exploration and systems versus story

The combat is more similar to 1 instead of 2 or 3. It has a similar bar that you navigate left or right to choose skills.

XC2 is amazing but the flaw of the battle system is that it doesn't really fully click until 50 hours in and then it becomes addictive. The summoning is whatever, it didn't really impact my experience, but I know for some when you want a specific blade it can be frustrating. XC3 is also amazing, but just a touch too polished for me. I liked how overwhelming and complicated XC2 was in comparison. I think the Torna DLC was a real nice bridge between both. In XCX the core battle system and exploration aren't any different than the other XC games, but I would say it is similar to XC2 in its depth overall. There are also mechs, which functionally transform the game to really be a lot unlike the others. Unlocking the mech's full potential is also a progression, so don't expect to get into one immediately and even once you do, you'll be doing more to really flesh it out, but the game completely transforms once you do.

I guess it was a fluke, my Walmart had for $30 on Friday and I got the only copy they had. Glade I did, but still $40 is a good deal as well on the game.
