LG's 77 inch G5 is being framed as a premium OLED upgrade that stands out most for brightness, especially in very bright rooms or direct sun. The newer tandem OLED panel and panel warranty are the main reasons to step up from a C series set, while the picture difference can look small in side by side viewing unless the room really challenges the screen. The deal price is strong versus other retailers, though tax, installation, mounting, and the optional soundbar bundle can change the total. It reads as a solid G series value if the extra brightness matters.

  • The deal price was corrected from $2349 to $2459, but it still undercuts other retailer pricing like $2999 and $2699.

    nsknuds

  • The TV deal can be worthwhile when you do not need an included soundbar bundle.

    GBotDO

  • The G5 series can be a strong fit for very bright rooms because the G series is described as having the brightest panels.

    TenseApple583

  • The G5 uses a newer tandem OLED panel, which can support a meaningful performance difference versus older models.

    supermanrob

  • Brightness differences may not feel significant in everyday viewing, and perceived performance can vary with calibration and content quality.

    LennyM4178supermanrob

  • The purchase may cost more than the headline price because tax is not included and installation is not included.

    socseb

  • Delivery and setup details can materially change total cost if mounting is not included and extra help is needed for unboxing or mounting.

    jsmitty5000

  • The deal may be less compelling if you cannot wall mount, since an LG stand is reported to cost $200.

This is an absolutely amazing price for this.
Almost makes me think it's a price mistake.
It's 2999 on the LG Partner Store, 2699 on Greentoe.
If you're in the market for this, buy now, ask questions later.

EDIT: Looks like they've already fixed the price. It's now showing as $2459. $110 more than it was originally showing. Still a good deal, but not quite as good as it was 30 mins ago.

I wonder what the details are on deliver and setup, that would make a big difference if it's minimal. Would have the added cost of hiring someone to unboxing and mounting (I can't remember if LG partner store includes the actual mount for free?)

Good price but this was $2285.10 on LG partner store back in October and included the stand, their highest end soundbar and a Bluetooth speaker effectively making the TV ~$1700

Wouldn't the money you lose on the 77" sale negate the money you save on the new tv?

I bought this after having ordered C5 77" for $1600. Not sure if I even need G5 though is it worth the $700-800 price diff? I know you get the panel warranty too but not sure if I really need a G-series
