I have this brand. Love the small bead squares, but the fabric started pilling about a month after buying it.

If you're the kind of person who enjoys thick blankets, and / or you find yourself piling on the blankets, even when it's warmer than said piles would suggest, get this. Especially at this price, a weighted blanket will change the way you sleep forever, in the best of ways. ;P

It has ruined vacations for me, because I am not packing a weighted blanket when I travel, so I can never sleep away from home.

Isn't glass an insulator? Just wondering if the blanket really disperses heat well.

It's an electric insulator, it has some thermal insulation properties but not terribly amazing ones. Save for actively cooled solutions I would say that the "cooling" moniker on any blanket is a relative term used for marketing, it's merely less insulating than some other options, it's still a blanket.

You can find other 60x80 20lb ones on Amazon for $30, or 15lb for $25. Not sure if this is a great deal or not...

Unless I'm missing the ones you're looking at, those have Larger Pockets (Which is what I got years ago), which means the weight is slightly less evenly distributed, and the whole thing is slightly less hardy.

Oh I 100% pack both my weighted blanket AND my Concave Pillow when I travel, outside of Extreme exceptions. The difference in sleep is too much not to.

Does this trap body heat? I can't use the one I have in the summer since it makes me feel too warm.

That is what blankets do, yes.
