I have had a wahl kit I bought for maybe 20 bucks maybe 15 years ago that is still running strong. It is corded and the actual trimmer is duct taped together because it is kind of falling apart. It still works though, but I figure at some point it will probably stop working mid hair cut and the most likely outcome is I will have to walk around with a half haircut until I either go to the barber shop and probably pay more than the price of this trimmer to a barber to finish the cut, or until I buy a new one, probably not on sale, for maybe twice this.

It seems well reviewed enough. I guess we will see.

Used to buy the cheaper trimmers and the performance was middling. Paid for the Braun 9 series trimmer and it's so worth the extra cost.

Got one for my father (90) to replace his old trimmer that just broke. He hasn't tried it yet, but it looks and feels good quality.

I've bought about 8 inexpensive electric shavers (4 different styles), including this one for my father. I'd say 3 are very impressive quality, and maybe 4 if you include this one, but we haven't used it yet to be sure. The 3 that are really nice are better than name brands I have from the past, though I didn't have the top of the line name brand models. And the 8 inexpensive ones in total probably cost less than 1 top of the line name brand.
