This deal is unbeatable for cordless tools! These KLiQ Klutch 20v tools are battery compatible with HyperTough cordless tools at WalMart.
Chervon, the owner of EGO, SKIL, FLEX, and the Asian market brand Devon, makes these tools. They also manufacture the 24V Kobalt tools at Lowe's.
All of these tools are cheaper if you have a Northern Tool Advantage Membership, which is $40 the first year, and then $40 thereafter, but includes a $25 gift card, so $15/yr.

The Klutch Surface Conditioning Tool and 4-1/2in. Angle Grinder have machined spiral bevel gears inside their gearboxes and 6 selectable speeds. The Klutch 4-1/2in./5in. Angle Grinder has what appear to be powdered metal gears in its gearbox, and they are only slightly spiraled. They look cheaper to me and may not hold up as long. The 4-1/2in./5in has a more powerful motor, probably 20-30% more, and three speeds.
The Die Grinder, the 4-1/2in. Angle Grinder, and the Surface Conditioning Tool all use the same motor/controller/handle, just different pinions and gearboxes. The Die Grinder is direct drive, the 4-1/2in. Angle Grinder has an 11-tooth pinion and 36-tooth bevel, the Surface Conditioning Tool has a 6-tooth pinion and a 53-tooth bevel, the 4-1/2in./5in. Angle Grinder has a 16-tooth, almost non-spiral pinion and a 36-tooth bevel.
The Northern website is not the best, and you may need to go back and forth on their pages to find the discounted price. Sometimes the items page shows only the list price, whereas the item will show up elsewhere (cart, KLiQ page, etc.), discounted.
I have been a Ridgid 18v guy for many years, but started buying Hercules a couple of years back after discovering their 5" cordless portaband (which I love) and their 100ft.lbs. non-impact 1/2" drill. There is a KliQ 5" portaband for $136.49 w/membership and a free battery. 2-Year warranty (Hercules is 5-yr over-the-counter).
And last but not least, I really like their grinders. They are small, light, brushless, and variable speed, which is fantastic for safety and control. I just wish they had electronic brakes... which, by the way, the $40ish Bauer right-angle grinder at Harbor Freight does have. None of my Ridgids have brakes, that sucks.

The only charger you will find for any power tool battery that is $15 is a wall-wart unit that takes 10 hours to charge. This is an actual charger, though it is not a high-current model. I bought three of the chargers, two 8 Ahr batteries for $60 each, and a whole bunch of grinders, a die grinder, and a surface conditioner. I'm tickled. And I have been buying through Slickdeals for decades. This is my first posting of a deal. I started dumpster diving tech deals with Anandtech hotdeals forum back in the 90's.
