I have my eye on you Segway !!!
Pricing is still a little high compared to what I'm seeing on other lifepo4 brands HOWEVER understanding that this device is more.... waterproof (IP56) than others and the expandable slots are what makes me rethinking the purchase......
Since this is not a "necessity" item, I will continue waiting for a smidge more of a discount.
Interestingly, their BTX-1000 expansion packs are $250 on the official segway website.
I think they have too much inventory at amazon, which is why the discount. The price on their website is still 1.7k !!!
I live in new york city (Hell's Kitchen). One of my worries is during a very hot summer month, there is a huge power outage. Is this something worth buying and keeping in my closet for such a scenario and for other extreme weather situations that may knock power out? Or is this better suited for outdoor and camping types?

30ms is about 2-3 years old, average like Delta 2/3, but most recent development put that number into acid-battery domain, like ecoflow 3 Pro/Air can advertise 10ms. which is enough for critical work like Nas and desktops.

Assuming this is for an AC that you can plug into an outlet, it'll run for a couple of hours (like 2hr max) at full power. Otherwise if you using it to power a fridge, fans, computers, and/or phones then you can get through a solid day if you don't open the fridge often.
But the it -really- depends on what you're powering and how power they draw, these are just guestimates. Its like asking if a tank of gas will make it trough a week.

For how many wheeled devices Segway makes, you would think throwing a couple of wheels on something of this size and weight would be obvious to their designers.
The Dabbsson 2000l is better in everyway and it's $509 on their site.
This was one of the unit on project farm and it was always top 3.
The only negative is no expansion battery port but lot of people just use the solar port for expansion batteries.
I just bought this unit and its super efficient.

There really is nothing on the market that is built to the level quality as the Segway unit, Its top notch and ultra rugged. So they do have that going for them for those that need it.

I actually have the Segway 1000 and the Dabbsson 2000l many other power stations.
The Segway isn't any more rugged than any others.

The OUPES Mega 2 isn't currently at the $619 low that it was last month, but if someone needed something right now, I still think its current price of $645 is a better buy for what you get: https://slickdeals.net/f/19226590-oupes-mega-2-2500w-2048wh-solar-generator-lifepo4-portable-power-station-6-yr-warranty-645-free-s-h
