Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy pairs the three films with a bonus disc, documentary, deleted scenes, and collectible packaging, making it a strong physical set for fans of the franchise. The current $31.99 price matches recent offers, though the history around $29.99 makes it feel less compelling. There are also reports of playback trouble on the 4K discs, including freezes and middle of movie issues, and shipping from Gruv has arrived in a thin envelope and damaged. A solid package if you want the trilogy, but the disc and packaging concerns are hard to ignore.

  • Fans who want a shelf-ready boxed set, because the package is substantial and includes collectible packaging.

    RevOneMarcus305

  • Collectors wanting the trilogy on 4K disc, because the set includes all three films plus a bonus documentary and collectible packaging.

    RevOne

  • Viewers who want digital access to bonus material, because the redeemable code can include new featurettes and other content through Movies Anywhere.

    Kwincy

  • Buyers who want a trouble-free physical release, because disc 1 and 2 have been reported to stall around the middle of the movies.

    preferredmikeElRancho

  • People who need flawless 4K playback on a Panasonic drive, because the discs can freeze halfway through the movie even after a replacement set.

    ElRancho

  • Shoppers expecting the new bonus content on the disc, because the extra featurette can be digital-only through Movies Anywhere.

    Kwincy

  • Collectors who need careful shipping protection, because the set can arrive damaged in a thin cardboard envelope.

Is this the same pack as the ones with the bad disc? Disc 1 and 2 had issues where they would not play without issues around the middle of the movies.

Is this movie just plagued with bad physical releases or something? Wasn't there an original DVD version where it was cropped wrong?

I only ordered from Gruv once and everyone else seems to have no problem with them, but they shipped a very expensive movie to me in nothing but a very thin cardboard envelope. It arrived damaged, I asked for a replacement to be shipped in a box with proper packing material, and they shipped it the exact same way, this time arriving a little less damaged. Apparently if you order multiple movies they ship them in a box.

Great Scott! Ugh, but my inner cheapskate can't unsee that $29.99 price history.
