Most AM4 cpus didn't have igpus... Only the "G" processors did.

I believe the 5500 is a 5600G with the igpu disabled.
5500 has half the cache as a Ryzen 5600...
Plus 5500 is limited to PCIE 3.0, while even the Ryzen 3600 has double the cache and has PCIE 4.0.
5500 is an entry level gaming cpu.

It seems that there is really a huge oversupply of 5500's instead of processors containing on board video.

The 5500. The only processor that isn't currently a ripoff.

Did Newegg accidently order too many of those little Rosewill Dusters? They seem to be cropping up in a bunch of combos.

My guess is it costs them $5-10 and it's actually a helpful "freebie" to toss in. One similar to it is on the FP with 1000 upvotes for $20.

Am I missing something or is this a good deal, even if you are only getting it for the RAM?

It is not a great deal unless you need new ram. Those prices are so over hyped

They've been cranking out inexpensive 5500s (+/-$50 alone or +/-$100-150 with an matx/atx motherboard) for at least a couple years now.

This is just a really odd combo if you think about it; an old cpu, old ram, and a crappy duster
