I can't stand games being behind a subscription paywall. While I won't be buying this because $20 is pretty steep imo I like that you can buy them individually.

For everyone asking why this dropped today instead of on Pokémon Day next week, it's probably to make people FOMO buy it. They'll probably announce it is also included in NSO+Expansion Pass next week right after the livestream ends, and then a bunch of people will be whining on Reddit that they wouldn't have paid $40 for both if they'd known they'd be in NSO.
