A pocket knife this big is definitely for other purposes, so the steel doesn't matter much other than it doesn't rust. That picture of the girl shows how it should be used.

Have one myself and have given one out as a gift. It's huge so it more of a novelty, than a practical knife. But it does come shaving hair sharp out of the box. For $25 makes a great "wtf lol" kinda gift.
