Incredible price if you can get one at this price. Be great for flooring, crown, and trim. Hoping to get my hands on one in store but doubt I'll get that lucky

Same. Only 2 "near" me, both $97 (online price of $150). I assume if these are marked down even further it's only for walk-ins.

Does anyone have insight on why someone would want this over a small 6 1/2" battery powered sliding miter saw?

I picked one up for $97 a couple weeks ago to use redoing the flooring in my house. Has worked great so far cutting 9" LVP SPC. You'd still also want a jigsaw, but this make quick work of the straight cuts

Perhaps the form factor. Folds up into a case for storage and transportation.

Thanks! I think I got the last one in the Kansas City area. The sticker on it said $139, but the website said the clearance price was $75, and it checked out as $75. Only one location had them at $75, so it's not everywhere.

It was on clearance at a number of stores around me when it went to $97, but now they're all back to $149.

this whole week i was thinking of what tools to buy. i also needed like a dedicated table, clamps, etc... but this just came in at the right time. this might be a sign. i think this will do for the occasional diy stuff. it obviously won't be as powerful as the tools i was shopping for, but this can be handy. i was surprised to learn u can do 2x4 with it, but with 2 cuts and the using the guide it comes with.

My only concern is the battery lifespan if it doesn't get much use. Am I going to pull this thing back out in 3 years and the batteries will be shot because they didn't get used or properly discharged, etc?
