For those without an android phone on your metro acct, the rep made it sound like it'd be better to link it to the samsung tablet (for those who own it) vs the iphone.
She attempted that and it didn't work, but just mentioning it here for folks who want to try that.
Her last recommended step for me was visiting a store and have them look at it, but that ain't happening. I'll just do the wifi thing, which is what I planned to do anyway.

I visited local store, who asked for 25$ activation fee for my watch 7, even it is already activated online with a number.
The deal is still on. The issue I have been having is it says there is an issue with placing the order online. So I called and tried with two agents to place the order. I used the same credit card I used to buy the iphone 16e and the samsung tablet and they went through. For some reason the system will not accept the payment from my card and no one there can figure out why.

I've had a similar issue when trying to order something else now. I can get to the last page after entering the CC info, just that it tells me to call their 'experts'.
Well... the 'expert' took like 30+ mins and still couldn't figure it out. They ask if the card is locked, no matter what card is used.
Even for the watch, it was weird -- several attempts wouldn't work, even from the rep, but after like 5 tries it finally went through. But the bill then came in on the first card he tried, way after he said that card wouldn't work.

It's a Google WearOS watch so can't be setup with the iPhone/iOS. I learned about it too yesterday.
But there is a workaround. From this link https://xdaforums.com/t/galaxy-wa...e.4532989/ start at step 6 and ignore everything above. I did this myself on a tmobile plan phone. Step 10 will have the link to the QR code.
A Youtube video https://youtu.be/AIGk03I1wvg to help visualize the guide to get into to the test menus on the app.
Once it all goes through it will want to install Metro related apps, but I didn't see anything added.
I was able to send a text from the watch to my tmobile phone and confirm mobile data, but can't seem to receive a text reply back. Better than nothing.
Try turning off 5G if you do not receive SMS text messages.
Similar issues have been reported with their tablets (at least the ones like Samsung that allow messaging) - while on 5G you can send text messages you never receive them. The first clue is to turn on/off airplane mode - it first registers on 4G and you get all the messages, then it switches to 5G and no more messages (and that airplane mode on/off is your backup plan).

Watch7 doesn't have 5G, 4G LTE only. I'm not worried about it as I plan to have it expire and use it with BT and WiFi.
Deal looks like it's dead. I tried to order last night with the $30 promo and got an error after submitting the order. Checking now it shows a promo price of $99.

Thanks, I was about to sign up for Metro for a month to grab this deal.
This appears to be in stock for $30 + one month = $70, and also tablet for free with just one month. Which one is a slick deal? Tab or watch? No need of any atm - just wanted to keep it in drawer until unlock

I got the watch delivered, activated, still in the box unopened. I don't plan to use it. After one month I stop paying, an I off the hook?? Just keep it for trade in down the road or resale? What y'all doing??
