The big question is how much install will cost. I've thought about getting one and our gas line is right next to the main breaker box.

Does Costco have installers lined up / negotiated rates for members? I'm not currently a member or else I'd check myself.

Yes they have a designated installer. They do it all from installation to working with the utility companies, and submitting all the rebate information if eligible. We just had one installed and they stepped us through the whole process.
