The Dyson AM09 is a compact hot and cool heater and fan that stands out most for fast, effective heat and kid friendly design with no exposed heating element. It is also useful for white noise and keeping bedrooms warm, and the 23 inch height makes it easy to place in smaller spaces. The main cautions are reliability and refurb condition, with reports of H2 errors, units failing after about a year, and some refurbished examples arriving scratched or dirty. It is a solid compact heater if you want quick warmth and can live with the maintenance and warranty risk.
The heater heats up quickly and warms a room fast.
The unit can be used for white noise while keeping bedrooms warm for years.
The model can be kid-friendly because it has no exposed heating element.
The heat portion can work really well on this model.
The heat portion can fail when H2 error codes appear during constant usage.
The unit may require direct wall outlet power because extension cords can contribute to H2 errors.
Certified refurbished units can arrive with heavy wear such as scratches, scuffs, and dirty cable stickers.
Refurbished units can break after about a year of use, which raises reliability concerns.
