This isnt the generation with the ticking time bomb amp that 99.9% always eventually fails right?

How does one find out what the promo code applies to? They seem to use the same one making me wonder if it's a mailing list or something.

I'm trying to decide whether to get one or two. No matter how much I read about the benefits of one vs two I have never experienced it myself so I have no point of reference which makes me unsure of how worth it an extra one is. Has anyone gone from one to two? Would you say it is absolutely worth an extra $700 or...eh?

Used the promo code and it worked. First proper amp to pair with my RP 8000s. Very excited to try this out.

Two subs sound better than one. If you want to save money, buy a high end sub and pair it with a medium end sub. I have used RCA splitter to connect 3 or 4 subs before.
My setup Hsu Research VTF-2 MK5 350W paired with Polk Audio PSW505 12" 300W.

Depends on a few key things.
How large is your seating area, how well you properly implemented them especially if you don't have independent sub outs.

TBH a second sub is mainly to widen the performance.

Placement is critical for optimal performance.
Make sure these will fit because they have a pretty big footprint.

I do have independent outs (using a RZ30). My room I'd say is maybe... 20x16-18 roughly. Planning to use some software to get all of this calibrated, I won't just plop it in and call it a day.

I agree, two subs sounds better than one if they're placed in the right locations according to your room size, shape, and acoustics. Search online for proper subwoofer placement tutorial (or follow link--> https://www.svsound.com/blogs/sub...P8z0jM8ml1). It makes a world of difference to have them in the optimal spots. I started off with one 10" Klipsch ref prem. sub and eventually bought a second. The second sub will balance the bass frequency of your sound field in the room so that it no longer sounds like its coming straight from that sub in the corner. Having a nice, even, full bass output from your subs will really change how you watch movies and immerse you in the moment a lot more. I also recommend swapping out the stock rubber feet on each sub for the SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System (better rubber cushioned feet than stock) [FOUND HERE--> https://www.svsound.com/products/...bD4rn4GbJ]. They make a huge difference and your neighbors will thank you.
