Cheap workhorses. Even thought they are Matter I'd recommend pairing them to the TP Link app because they have a nice calibration exercise that other platforms don't have. You can always expose to Alexa or Google via TP link integration.

If you truly want local only, you will have to give that up

Yes - that's what Matter means, native integration with a compatible platform. But like I said you miss some niceties like the dimmer calibration

I have 18 of these all working great without an issue. I also got two sets of three-way switches working. You do need a neutral which newer houses have have.

Haven't used their light dimmer siwtch but have had great experience with the Tapo water leak sensors and Tapo cameras, big fan of their products

I have a couple Meross/Refoss smart switches that include the calibration feature, then once set up and calibrated I only use HomeKit to control; does that same capability exist with these, or is there some oddity where once linked in the TP Link app you are unable to link/expose to HomeKit?
