This 66 quart Sterilite bin is mainly valued as a roomy, low cost storage tote for lighter household items like clothes. The latch lid is straightforward, and the clear body makes contents easy to see. The gasket free design is a plus for airflow, especially for stored clothing, while gasketed versions are noted as better for blocking dust and moisture. The main cautions are that these are not the gasket sealed model and some deliveries have arrived cracked, so it is a practical pick when airflow matters more than airtight protection.

The bin can work well for lighter items like clothes storage.

The lack of a gasket can allow airflow for stored clothes.

A set of six can cost about half compared with another retailer.
ScarletAppliance426
The bin may be available for about $7.99 after a rebate in Eau Claire.

The listing appears to be for a non-gasket-sealed version.
jdfetterman
Deliveries can arrive cracked, requiring selection among damaged units.
Nephilim
The sale price can end after the weekend, reducing deal value.
hazmathews
Delivery reliability can be poor for this type of item from Walmart.

Common Questions (3)

No. This 66-quart Sterilite Clear Storage Container uses a latch lid but is not the gasket-sealed version. The non-gasket design allows more airflow, while gasketed bins are the ones used when moisture and dust protection matters more.
jdfetterman jdfetterman zyberwoof Frank_Nitty
At $8.98, it is cheaper than some recent purchases around $9 each and far below a reported $13 price from last year. It was also compared against a Menards Sterilite option under $6 for 60 quarts, and one six-pack order was said to cost about half as much as another store.
hazmathews manolobindo ScarletAppliance426 mitcham
It is better suited to lighter-weight storage than heavy loads. One use case that worked well was clothes storage, while loose Legos were considered a poor fit because the bin can be more prone to damage or cracking.

Heads up. These aren't the ones with the gasket.

I have plenty of the Sterilites w/ the gaskets. However, when comparing them to the OP, the ones including the gaskets range between 54qt and 80qt, but nowhere in between.

I think they may be $10 usually? Idk for sure and dont know a good price tracker for Walmart... Either way still a better call to go to Menards if you have one nearby and you could do with 60 quarts instead of 66. They have the purple handle Sterilite on sale for the under $6.

They're $7.99 in Eau Claire after the rebate

I bought a bunch of these last year this size for $13 a piece. I planned on putting loose Legos in them. Found out these are better suited for lighter weight items and they have been converted to clothes storage now. I find it a plus to not have a gasket. It allows me to throw a dryer sheet in there and when I take clothes out I can wear them and stand the smell. If I locked them in there without airflow I would have to wash them before I could wear them again.
