Just installed 5 of these in my house and I was surprised at how well they work. I worked as a carpenter years back and have installed the traditional screwed in door sweeps with the metal base and rubber sweep so I didn't expect much from these but honestly for the price I would recommend them. They're also incredibly easy to install so no carpentry skill is necessary to install. Just something to mark the length you want it and then scissors to cut the rubber. Then slap it on using the attached 3m tape while running your finger and making sure there are no gaps at the bottom.

I should say these are for INTERIOR doors. I don't think they would last or stay on exterior doors well at all.

I installed another brand of this same product on the door to my laundry room. It's a significant reduction in noise transmission.

Aren't door gaps important for HVAC systems for homes that have central air? Air needs to be able to move in and out of rooms or it can lead to uneven cooling/heating and wear on the system/increased energy bills.

I installed this on my interior basement door. The adhesive is pretty useless so I used a screwed in metal strip to hold it in place. Worked great until the cats discovered it. It took a couple months, but they shredded all of it into tiny pieces. The silicone material must feel good on their claws. I bought a replacement but I'm not going to bother.

I have an interior door that opens to a staircase that leads to a garage where cold drafts can make their way through. We have something similar on our door but I kind of hate it and need to figure something better out. Mine is a heavier duty foam, not rubber so maybe this would be better.
