I thought they stopped supporting the cloud connectivity on these?
You must be thinking of Belkin WeMo.

I have earlier versions of this switch bought around 2020. They buzz when on, kinda loudly. Not sure if they fixed that in later versions.
It might be wiring issue? I had buzz and ended up redoing wire and that went away

Now Tapo app supports both of them seem less. Once that worked it was what a relief moment for me.

I have these all over they are great. Take up space in your box tho so if you try to shove like three in a box it gets tight.

I had these for about 6 months before they drove me insane:
  • Theres only one button, and it's at the bottom of the switch. If you press the top of the switch it does nothing. Unlike, you know, light switches.
  • That button is mushy. Once you're through the mush, there's a tactile click.
  • But the click is unrelated to the underlying operation, so it's possible to get the click without activating the switch.
  • This is compounded by a slight delay before the light come on, so you can't just breeze into a room and throw the lights on. You have to remember to hit the bottom of the switch, then remember that the click doesn't mean the lights will come on. Then wait a beat to see if they come on. Then maybe go hit the switch like you mean it.
Yeah, these are often half the price of some other options. Is that really worth having annoying light switches? It wasn't for me.

uhm this is LITERALLY a price.....INCREASE
For the white switches, yes. For the black and light almond switches, pretty reasonable as people are willing to pay a bit of a price premium to match their decor.
