I have one and it's failing too. I bought it probably 4-5 years ago or longer. How are you getting them to return things like that? They give me absolute hell if I ever try to return anything more than a year or two old.
That's because there are return abusers who think they deserve a free ride.

Looking at the savings for a washer/dryer combo. Do you trust the delivery and install from Costco's third party? In the past, I read people said it was horrible.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations? Heard don't get Samsung since they break after 2 years.
Definitely don't go with Samsung. Have a neighbor that worked for them and he wouldn't think about buying a Samsung appliance. I have a GE front load and really like it. Was able to get a really good deal at Lowes a few years ago. Hate to say it but don't think any appliance is made to last anymore. I went with white---I still have a 32+ year Maytag dryer that's still working and white is easy to replace a washer/dryer if one of them go out. Other colors will be hard to match. Looks nice at first but if one fails--then your stuck buying a new matching set or--going with mismatched colors. If you have a dryer that works--might only need to replace washer. I looked for the highest spin I could find. Takes so little time to dry the clothes vs the ones that don't spin at a high rate.

LG is more reliable from the reviews I read.

Got a LG combo delivered last year. I loved my experience. They brought everything in, hauled out the old ones. One of the best experiences with delivery I've had.

Madras Lentils used to go on sale about every other month. Seems like they haven't been on sale for 6 months or so

I've only had good experiences with their deliveries, but I imagine it depends on who they contract with for each region. Also, I totally agree with your opinion on Samsung appliances. They should stick to RAM. Horrible appliances.

As they should. You're the reason that fees go up and they tighten the return policy.

Yea i only return things that are within warranty window or at least extended warranty with costco card. I just rather not go through the process of claiming with the extended warranty. People have abused the return policy for amazon so much now it is annoying returning amazon items legitimately.
You act as if you're a "Costco return saint" but are you returning things for the right reason? Buyers remorse isn't a good reason. Nor is buying it and using it just to get use out of it and then returning it because you can, as if it's a free rental. The old "I need a counter top oven but just over the holidays" and then returning it in January isn't any better than those who wear things out and then return them. And don't be one of those "returning a dead tree" people who just didn't plant the tree and didn't water it so they return it because it died people. I see them all the time in line. We all see the trees at costco, they are perfectly healthy when sold, they didn't die because of being a bad tree.

That reminds me, I bought the lavender tree/bush from Costco and it was so hard to take care of in Texas. I watered it and it still died.
