Bought 4 times in 2024, only once last year in July. I agree too much effort. But I was reminded of when we were walking in a casino parking lot from our car to the entrance, weaving in between rows of cars, and found a grocery bag with 5 boxes of Belvita, blueberry, I think, on the ground. Naturally that required a return trip to the car. For those concerned, none of the boxes were open, and the bag was equidistant from several cars.

I opted for the virtual debit card. The virtual card is a just a virtual Mastercard prepaid debit card, so pretty much accepted anywhere for anything, online or in-stores. I believe you can also add it to a mobile wallet.

With cards like these, I just instantly buy/reload an Amazon gift card so I don't need to worry about awkward leftover balances, expiration dates, or sometimes monthly fees that eat away at the balance.

The card issued for this offer expires 6 months from date of issue. Everything was pretty quick for me. My timeline was: Submitted receipt Jan 27, got acceptance email Jan 28, received prepaid card Jan 30.

I don't know much about the physical card option as I worry about those getting lost and taking too long and/or me forgetting about them in the mail.

They just gave me a $5 prepaid Mastercard you can use on anything. It expires in July, though. I also immediately put it on Amazon and moved along.
