I've used something similar to this bag. Frontier might be the only issue. See the Amazon reviews. Looks like Frontier uses different-sized bins (shady practice), so it can be difficult to surmise if your bag will fit properly if they don't use the same standard size everywhere. Don't overfill the bag (leave some wiggle room) if flying Frontier as a precaution.

I use a packing cube and condense my clothes and cinch the straps on my backpack to save space.

Yeah, based on the video I think there is just a pocket that will hold in liquids that spill in it. I guess just for leaky water bottles rather than walking in the rain.
