Not sure how they are now, but I still daily use my North Face backpack that I got over 12 years ago. It has been heavily used, and really the only problems that I have had with it is that the elastic for the bottle holders wore out a bit. I could see it lasting another 5-10 years. It is the most BIFL bag that I have ever had. When it wears out, I think I will definitely invest in another one.

Lifetime warranty, if I'm not mistaken. Be sure to see about a replacement/refund when the time is right. For that reason alone I'm confident in my purchase.

Good price, I just bought a Borealis pack for $80, but I wouldn't buy this particular deal for my purpose. The color is not suitable for my use (travel, throwing in with cargo, etc).

"Our Limited Lifetime Warranty is intended to cover the practical lifetime of the product, not the user's lifetime. How your product is used will directly impact its lifetime. We build our gear to last and pride ourselves in equipping consumers with product that will last through many adventures. However, like all good things, our gear's life eventually comes to an end. If you have enjoyed your gear on many adventures through the years, followed care instructions, and its age is showing, your product may have reached its lifetime and need to be replaced."
This is from their website. I can understand where they are coming from though.

I have the thyme colored Borealis from about one year ago, I love it. It takes a beating, and I've had it packed to the brim on trails and comfort was never an issue ❤️
