Not sure how they are now, but I still daily use my North Face backpack that I got over 12 years ago. It has been heavily used, and really the only problems that I have had with it is that the elastic for the bottle holders wore out a bit. I could see it lasting another 5-10 years. It is the most BIFL bag that I have ever had. When it wears out, I think I will definitely invest in another one.

Lifetime warranty, if I'm not mistaken. Be sure to see about a replacement/refund when the time is right. For that reason alone I'm confident in my purchase.

Good price, I just bought a Borealis pack for $80, but I wouldn't buy this particular deal for my purpose. The color is not suitable for my use (travel, throwing in with cargo, etc).
