Lightweight, good ergonomics, good battery life, plenty of torque for household use. Yes, there are jobs that need more torque, but most jobs don't. I'd rather use the lighter/more ergonomic tool for the huge fraction of jobs that don't need more power.

You can get some aftermarket batteries for a reasonable price. I got some cheap third party batteries when my original died and they have been great.

bought this at Lowe's. i like that it has 3 settings, the lowest being 63 ft-lbs. So you can tighten lug nuts without overtorquing them and then snug them up.

I would not skimp on OEM batteries. A lot of aftermarket batteries won't be able to supply the power needed. My Bosch 8 amp batteries can supply about 1,400 Watts of power, with its powerful 21700 cells. There's no way an aftermarket can touch that. Some tools need it

Lowes runs deals on Bosch tools and batteries so frequently it's not worth messing with sketchy aftermarket batteries anyway.

Thanks for P-U at Lowes info! I haven't decided whether I need/want it yet. I figure buy first/think later to give me some time to decide. I have a number of the 4, 8 and 12ah batteries so buying a tool-only deal works for me.

Not looking to argue, just shedding some extra insight into my thoughts. Most li-on batteries are made in China, and most manufacturers actually skimp on prices to reduce cost. The odds that they ARE relatively the same are pretty high. Especially compared to the ~10-year-old battery I replaced it with.
I haven't measured the output of my aftermarket battery, but I am going to assume that for a DIY homeowner it is more than enough compared to the outrageous price of OEM. For added context, a genuine Bosch 18V 4A is $150-170, whereas an aftermarket is $25-30.

A Bosch 4 amp hour is $56 right now on Amazon,. There's no comparison between an OEM battery and a Chinese knockoff battery. The OEM use high quality Japanese or Korean cells that can output lots of current. The knockoffs will work for lower output tools but the capacity is much lower generally and they can't put out nearly as much power. There's no comparison.
