I would not skimp on OEM batteries. A lot of aftermarket batteries won't be able to supply the power needed. My Bosch 8 amp batteries can supply about 1,400 Watts of power, with its powerful 21700 cells. There's no way an aftermarket can touch that. Some tools need it

this tools need strong batteries !!
Thanks for P-U at Lowes info! I haven't decided whether I need/want it yet. I figure buy first/think later to give me some time to decide. I have a number of the 4, 8 and 12ah batteries so buying a tool-only deal works for me.

I haven't measured the output of my aftermarket battery, but I am going to assume that for a DIY homeowner it is more than enough compared to the outrageous price of OEM. For added context, a genuine Bosch 18V 4A is $150-170, whereas an aftermarket is $25-30.
