Still doesn't compare to the durability of the sapphire models.

Nope. This model is worth it for the SS case and sapphire screen if nothing else. The difference in durability compared to the aluminum models is night and day. I'd pick one up but I already got a Series 8 SS in that BF '24 $199 Walmart deal and there isn't enough difference between the 8 and the 9 to justify it.My next AW will be SS or Titanium though, never going back to the base aluminum model after seeing how much tougher these are.

I tried Stainless Steel Case.. it's heavier.

I would get Series 10. If you do not mind the bigger screen.

The most comparable Series 11 is $699, not $299 or $399. It's odd to see the literacy crisis unfold before my eyes.
yeah, that seems right. Also when the Series 11 are sold at $100 discount it seems that the Titanium version also gets $100 off (at least on the Amazon sales)

Upgraded my 4 AL to the 8 SS models 1.5 years ago thanks to the $300 deal found on SD. Worth it everyday bc it is a beauty and still looks great.
This is great upgrade for users who have a gen 8 and below aluminum Apple Watch and doesn't care for any of the upgrades from the 10 or 11. The durability on the SS models are unmatched, though the SS casing will scratch easily, it looks way nicer than the AL models.
For a device I'll keep for 4 years I'd value durability than a slightly upgraded SoC or less bezels. My next AW will for sure be an Ultra but that'll be in 2-3 years I'm hoping.

Still rockin my 8 series SS and it's scratch free! Got it new for $199 from a Walmart deal. Haven't been able to match that since. This is the closest I've seen. Can't justify upgrading from the 8 to 9 though.
I feel you. I have a 7 I'm still wearing. No idea if it's sapphire or not, but no scratches. I'll hold onto it until it dies a gnarly death, though, as it's red. I wonder why they stopped having color options (other than black and greys).

How about people with undiagnosed OSA?
OSA - If you haven't figured it out at that point, a watch probably isn't going to convince you.
Men don't have sleep apnea, they only have denial. What they don't deny is how much their wives bitch about their snoring.

Does the SaO2 get recorded? Then 'technically' it could be ONE variable that would contribute to the diagnosis. A finger oximeter with recording would likely be a superior device, and a lot cheaper.
Get the watch if you want THE WATCH.

Night overnight oximetry below 88% on frequent basis shall start workup of OSA. It is a valuable tool to get to the diagnosis which otherwise leads to atrial fibrillation, strokes, and heart failure

When I go in as a patient, and they slap the oximeter on me, I've been asking medical professionals WHAT SaO2...REALLY.....measures?
I tell them it's a trick question. Over decades I've only got a few correct answers.
Anyone?
(Respiratory Therapist and anesthesiologists need not 'apply' 😁)
No fair using Ai. Come on, you know, you don't, or you think you know.
EVERYONE has had one put on their finger. So, WHAT did you think it was actually doing?

The blue, green and red options always sold less well than the midnight and silver and gold colors so they gave up on those for past 3 years

None of your data is accurate anymore tbqh with the old sensors. Kind of defeats the purpose

Just received mine (an upgrade watch for my tween daughter).

It is NIB but arrived completely discharged, which suggests to me that it's been sitting around for a very very long time. I do have concerns about the battery longevity as such. But I purchased with a Citi card that adds 2 years to warranty, so if it gets really bad I will get a replacement under warranty.

(The bigger problem is if it degrades somewhat but not a lot. Then Apple will often refuse to service, even if I'm paying and getting reimbursed by my card.)
