Nope. This model is worth it for the SS case and sapphire screen if nothing else. The difference in durability compared to the aluminum models is night and day. I'd pick one up but I already got a Series 8 SS in that BF '24 $199 Walmart deal and there isn't enough difference between the 8 and the 9 to justify it.My next AW will be SS or Titanium though, never going back to the base aluminum model after seeing how much tougher these are.

whatever is the metal etc is all ok to justify for this price, but the truth is its 2+ years old model. In my opinion, buy series 10 or 11 even Aluminium ok. these are for fitness, so the newer will be better in battery usage and sensitivity of the tracking etc..

SaO2 for 90% of the people is pretty much a fairly useless piece of data.
I'm a Respiratory Therapist, using oximeters since they first came out, were the size of a briefcase and cost $2000.
Unless you DO have lung disease, a bad circulatory problem, or are going to high altitude (12,000'+) your SaO2 will always be fine.
You have to hold your breath for something like 3" to get it down to 85%.

The stainless models are insanely well made, but the added weight is noticeable. The series 11 now includes a more scratch resistant screen whereas the "sapphire" screen on the stainless model was really important before now.

I do have series 5 SS model. It is still free of any scratch and looks pretty good. It came with Milanese loop at that time.

Still rockin my 8 series SS and it's scratch free! Got it new for $199 from a Walmart deal. Haven't been able to match that since. This is the closest I've seen. Can't justify upgrading from the 8 to 9 though.

is it actually disabled though? chatgpt told me the 11 can do it on the phone using the watch's sensor. it just cant show you on the watch.
