I was not expecting it, but the Phantom Spirit 120 is significantly quieter, and it cools my CPU better. I think it comes down to the difference in mounting brackets and the fans. The Phantom has much quieter fans, and the top layer on the fin stack is metal, vs the plastic covers on the Frozn A620 Pro SE.
Take that as you will. I'm just sharing my experience.

unless you have a window case and need to show off your cooler, i would recommend this more widely scrutinized 7 pipe; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNDTJVPL?th=1 i got this for to replace the AMD stock cooler on my AM5 mobo and am all smiles here.
I had this cooler. It is a 6 heat pipe design. I ended up swapping it out for the Phantom Spirit 120, which is a 7 heat pipe cooler: https://www.amazon.com/Thermalrlg...industrialI was not expecting it, but the Phantom Spirit 120 is significantly quieter, and it cools my CPU better. This is the cooler I currently use. Yeah I think it's better too but who knows somebody out there may need to save the $7 on their new PC build.
This is not regular price. It hasn't been this price since April of 2025. I've been watching it since then
I don't know what price history that you've been looking at, but everything I've seen has had this cooler for around $30 since it launched. Its main claim to fame is that it matches the performance of the Thermalright Peerless Assassin but at an even cheaper price. So it could never be above 30 bucks.

That's ~33% more expensive. Are we paying $9 more for even 50 Mhz more performance? Dubious. Hard to believe your MB doesn't have fan curves to control noise. As with all things, diminishing returns…

yeah, i know mine is $9 more, but i'm already upgrading from free stock cooler on an opaque sided case, so i may as well make it the last cooler i have to buy, and go as big as my case can hold with as many fans and pipes that will fit. no matter what i do my cpu now remains under 80°C (95°C is where it auto throttled using stock cooler) and i have 3 more quality case fans and the psu fan, i still don't hear anything even while ~8% OC on CPU and RAM running CB R23 or shrinking 4K video files into 720p portables using HandBrake (i keep my CPU box on my desk behind my screen). i don't have a GPU card yet, but that will eventually burden the case fans more, not the cpu fans, as the iGPU this cooler is helping - won't be needed.
