Target clearance on Switch games is heavily store specific, with some locations turning up deep discounts while others show little or no markdown. The strongest finds include Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition for $17.99, Bravely Default for $19.99, Yakuza 0 for $12, and smaller prices on titles like Super Mario RPG, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Everybody 1 2 Switch. Some games were hidden in regular locked cases and only showed clearance in the in store scanner, not the app. A few listings also rang up higher than expected or were not actually on clearance, so checking in store matters.

Common Questions (5)

  • Reported in-store prices include Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition for $17.99, Bravely Default for $19.99, Yakuza 0 for $12, Super Mario RPG for $11.99, and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, Zelda Skyward Sword, and Let's Go Pikachu at $17.99. Other finds included Everybody 1-2 Switch for $8.99 and Karate Kid Street Rumble for $5.99.

  • No. Clearance is regional and store by store, so nearby Target locations can have different prices and stock for the same game. One store may mark a title down to $30 while another still has it at $40, and some stores may not have it on clearance at all.

  • The Switch version is described as a poorly optimized Ubisoft port, though the Monopoly game itself is playable and the AI is reported to be less buggy than before. It also appears in the Family Night package with Risk and Trivial Pursuit, but there are better ports if you want the best version of Monopoly.

  • Use the in-store tablet or computer search on the end caps to scan the game while you are in the store. Some titles are in the normal locked Switch case and show the clearance price in Target's system even when the app does not.

  • The triple pack mentioned is the newer 2024 version, not the 2018 release. That matters because the listing and contents differ between the two editions.

Last weekend, I found Bravely Default (Switch 2) at $19.99 and Xenoblade Chronicles X (Switch 1) for $29.99 at my local Target. Both on clearance. Haven't had luck in finding anything else so far.

Why is the link to Nintendo.com?
Because I am new to posting, not sure how everything works, and wanted to keep all the links to the estore for consistency.

Damn. I was curious about that title since my son took an interest in playing monopoly.
I recommend it on any device but the Switch

Went to the Target in Edwardsville, Illinois The only thing they had was like 20 copies of PST for the switch and it wasn't even really that discounted.

Going to make a separate post as it currently HOT TOPIC: I just picked up Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition for $17.99. Woot! Already accepted my return on a previous $36 purchase after I got fed up with the "downgrade pack" Debacle. Sweet!

I thought it was the "don't ask the ex to call the store for you" rule...

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Every Target I visited in my area had games on clearance, some much better than others. (Some were easy to find, why others were in random clearance aisle end caps away from the main Switch games aisle)

Best deals I found:

Switch:

Pokemon Scarlet: $17.99
Pokemon Violet: $17.99
Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu: $17.99
Zelda Skyward Sword: $17.99
Super Mario RPG: $11.99
Sonic X Shadow Generations: $14.99
Wildersmyth: $5.99
Karate Kid Street Rumble: $5.99

PS5:

Death Stranding 2: $20.99
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4: $13.79

Switch 2:
Daemon x Machina Titantic Scion: $20.99

NOTE: Some of the games, notably the Pokemon games, weren't marked for clearance and were in the normal Switch display case area (locked up). I found out they were on clearance at the store using the tablet / computer thing on the end caps in the store that let you search for in store products. They had the "sale" (aka clearance) price in the system, but not on the app. So you can check that way once in the store. However only some had them in clearance, seems like it very dependent on the store.

NBA 2K26 is on sale for $19.99. Might be worth it to pay a little more to get the latest title.
