This 40 inch DUMOS standing desk is a budget pick for tight spaces, with the 40 inch size fitting small setups and larger sizes also discounted. The desk has a 4.6 out of 5 rating, and the low price feels especially appealing compared with pricier standing desks. The main tradeoffs are the two piece desktop, which leaves a seam across the top, and a short, somewhat wobbly build that can dent or chip in shipping. It works best as a compact, inexpensive standing desk when you can live with the compromises.
The 40-inch width can work well for small spaces when a compact footprint is needed.
The desk top can be split into two 12-inch pieces, and a mouse pad can help cover the resulting seam or gap.
A larger XXL mouse mat can improve comfort and also help quiet keyboard noise on this desk setup.
The controller supports operating a single desk, which fits straightforward one-desk setups.
The two-piece desktop design creates a seam or gap across the work surface that may require a mouse pad to manage.
The desk can wobble, and wobbling can increase further when adding an additional hutch on top.
The desk can feel short at its highest standing height for a 5'7" user, which may require raising the monitor.
The controller does not support daisy chaining, so two desks cannot be operated in tandem for an L-shaped configuration.
