The Sunlu S4 is a four spool filament dryer that helps pull moisture out of PLA, PETG, and other filaments so prints come out cleaner. It has been described as quiet, and drying old spools has reduced their weight by a few grams while improving print quality. The main caveats are that one unit stopped powering on after sitting unused, the release knob feels short, and the listing may need a quick authenticity check. It is a practical drying station if you want to keep multiple rolls ready.

  • Filament users drying moisture-prone PETG, because drying removes water weight and helps prints come out excellent.

  • Users wanting a quieter multi-spool dryer, because it is described as pretty quiet and measured around 45 dB at 18 inches.

  • Printer owners feeding external TPU or abrasive rolls, because it works as a standalone dryer outside the AMS.

  • High-humidity users needing long-term reliability, because the unit can stop turning on after sitting unused.

  • People drying nylon PA6 or other high-temperature materials, because this dryer lacks the 85°C capacity and independent heated sections needed for those filaments.

  • Owners who need a compact setup on top of a printer enclosure, because this four-spool unit takes more space than the AMS-top version.

I saw that they had the "newer version of this item" was the one that goes on top of the AMS for Bambu printers for like $12 more so I picked that up instead. should take up less space overall for me https://www.amazon.com/SUNLU-AMS-...B0FLP97HMW
That's a different product, for a different use-case…
I use the S4 for standalone drying spools, and primarily for feeding external rolls that I don't want to run through the AMS (TPU and abrasives.)
Modified an AMS stand I found on Printables for it as well, sits nicely next to the X1C, with some useful Gridfinity additions.

I have a few dryers and this is pretty quiet. Nothing scientific, but just to my ears. I have two of them, but haven't used them much recently as it's pretty dry by me in the winter and when opening PETG from the package I usually dry it in one of my other dryers prior to putting it in my AMS.

Just keep in mind, if you have both PLA and PETG within the same AMS, you should set your dryer on PLA temps or you can ruin your PLA if temps are too high.

EDIT: I'm a moron. I thought this deal was for the AMS Heater. I do own the S4 as well and It does seem quieter than the Creality
