normally i think originals are great but this time removing all those filler sounds in every scene with children on and off camera was very much a good thing.

It has the 1988 English audio from the orion VHS tape. Fantastic!

That is the only way I can watch this movie - with the original English voice actors. lol. The pioneer english dub is garbage and ruins it for me.

I remember buying the Akira Manga in the 80's and was blown away. When the DVD came out, I bought it right away. Over and over I watched it! Could not get enough. Shortly thereafter McFarlane Toys released Akira animated collectable figures. Yes, I bought those also. Still have most of my collection on display.
