Yea this is not for high heat. It seals faster but that is its strongest selling point.
I prefer the 90 minute right stuff myself. Dries faster than the Ultra RTV but still stronger than the 1 minute stuff.

Its not that bad.
Clean the pan and transmission surface. Do the filter, if it has one, wipe it down, put a thin bead over the entire surface(make sure to do a circle around the bolts), and then install.
If worried do a dry install first. By that lift the pan up and try to start one bolt by hand. If you can do that cleanly then you're ready to add the RTV and install.
