I bought this Pioneer 70" 4 months ago. Still going strong. Very happy with it.

75" is only $69 more. So roughly 21% more money for 14.8% more screen size. Basically same value.

I wonder which math school is that where 21 and 14 and 69 are same value! Stick Out Tongue
Percentages? 75" is 14.8% more surface area than a 70", and with the price being $69 more, that means it's 20.9% more cost. With only a margin of about 6% difference in price per square inch, the value of both TVs is roughly the same, just depends what you want to buy.

You still have to spend $69 more though?

Yes, ergo the value per square inch. If you value the extra 5 inches diagonally, you'll only be losing about 6% value per inch². Value ≠ same price.

Have not bought any Pioneer electronics in a very long time. Are they still reputable?

Name was sold. It's a value brand now, hence the price of a 70"+ TV.

No, they're owned by a Chinese company now along with Philips, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc.
