This is a great planer for the garage woodworker. If you don't have the space for a big, 220v planer, this is about as good as you can get.

This is a good price if you're looking to buy right now, though it does occasionally go lower if you are willing to wait for it. Once in a while it goes for $499.

Anyone ever used the dust collection mod where you pipe it through the top of the cover? Collects right off the cutterhead versus using the blower in the back. I have some shavings left on my planer bed and if you put the board back on top of them, you can start get a skewed plane on top. Looking like it could help. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GM63C7BK
